This unique property in the heart of the old wooden town Eksjö has been declared a monument. The Garvaren building dates from 1831 and the building has place for both guests and a lot of history. Here you will stay in rooms with toilet and shower, often next or nearby to the rooms and use of the communal kitchen.
Eksjöån (stream) flows past the building and old wooden buildings and cobbled streets surround the hostel. The hostel is located next to the Tourist Centre and you have shops, restaurants, museums, a swimming lake with fishing opportunities within walking distance. There are also wonderful guided city walks through the city or long-distance walks outside the city. There are also plenty of activities in Eksjö, including the yearly town festival and the atmospheric Christmas market.
